Roger Tang
Hello! I am Roger Tang. I will be a 10th grader at Ladue Horton Watkins High School this fall. My favorite subject in school is science, and I have participated in several STEM competitions. I am a member of my school’s Science Olympiad competition team, which has qualified for Nationals every year since I was in 7th grade. In addition, I was part of the "You Be the Chemist Challenge" team, and we won back-to-back state championships. This year, I competed in the WashU Chemistry Tournament and our team was placed third in Wacky Elements in Division Avogadro. This summer, I will be raising money for JOH by tutoring students in Science Olympiad and the You Be the Chemist Challenge.
Lucas Ruan
Hello, my name is Lucas Ruan. I will be a sophomore this fall at Clayton High School. Academically, I have qualified for AIME(American Invitational Mathematics Examination) for the past two years. I enjoy playing violin and piano, having participated in Missouri's All State Orchestra and having performed in Carnegie Hall with YPSO. I also won honorable mention at the state MMTA piano competition this past year. This summer, I am available to tutor both competitional and school math.


Eric Tang
Hi, my name is Eric Tang, and I am going to be a sophomore at Ladue Horton Watkins High School this fall. Some of my strengths academically are math and science. I have gone to Mathcounts Nationals in 8th grade, performed well in MCTM competitions starting in 4th grade, qualified for AIME, and was on the Missouri team for ARML. For the past two years, I have also organized and led a You Be the Chemist team and last year, we were able to win in our state. I am also part of my school's Science Olympiad team, and have gotten first multiple times at the state level and also second at the national level. This year, I participated in HOSA, and was able to get 2nd place in the General Chemistry event at the State Leadership Conference (SLC). Lastly, I participated in the Washington University Chemistry Tournament (WUCT), and placed 3rd in an event and 4th as a team. This summer, I will do online math tutoring, including but not limited to Number Sense tricks, AMC 8, and MCTM to raise money for JOH.

Albert Shi
Hi my name is Albert Shi, and I am going to be a 8th grader at Ladue Middle School in the coming fall. I have played chess for 7 years. My USCF chess rating is 1800 and I have won the K-5 State Championship in 2023 and participated National Rockefeller tournament representing Missouri State. I have placed 27th in the National Rockefeller tournament for state champions. Academically I like math and science as well. I also enjoy playing piano, clarinet and reading. This summer I will tutor chess to raise money for JOH.


Ethan Li
Hi, I'm Ethan Li. I am a 9th grader at Marquette High School. My strengths are math and science. I placed first in Future Problem Solving for the Missouri middle division, qualifying for the international competition. I placed in the top 5 at the Missouri state DECA conference, qualifying for the DECA international conference. Furthermore, I won my division during the 2023 Missouri Class Championships for Chess. I have a lot of experience in teaching, organizing, and participating in the past with the STLRCC (St. Louis Rubik's Cube Club) and SLEO (Students Leading Educational Opportunities) organizations, partaking primarily in Rubik's Cube and secondarily in Speech and Debate. I enjoy playing ice hockey, tennis, and cello, chess, and exercising in my free time. This summer, I will teach Rubik's Cube to both beginner and advanced cubers to help raise money for the JOH.
Kevin Diao
Hello, I’m Kevin Diao, and I will be a senior at Ladue Horton Watkins High School this fall. I have a strong passion for science and engineering. In particular, I like designing and creating with 3D printing; I even designed and taught a 3D printing class at a modern Chinese school. As a member of the robotics team, I am responsible for 3D design, and I’ve created designs for
educational purposes at my school, including hooks for classroom to hold instruments. In addition, I earned second place in the Science Olympiad "Flight" event at a regional competition. In my free time, I enjoy drumming and running. This summer, I will be helping to raise money for JOH by teaching science classes.


Louwyn An
I am Louwyn An, a rising 8th grader at John Burroughs. I’ve been learning computer programming and AI/data science for over 3 years. My AI-powered app that automatically identifies different candy types and calculates their nutrient portfolio and my data science project assessing the social acceptability of non-alcoholic beer consumption by adolescents were both published in the peer-reviewed Journal of Emerging Investigators. My systems science project simulating the life cycle and evaluating the cost-benefit of ugly fruit and vegetable consumption received first place and the Bayer Special Award at the St. Louis Science Fair. Join me to learn and ride with AI!
Molly Wang
Hi my name is Molly Wang! In the fall I will be an 8th grader at Ladue Middle School. I've been playing the violin since I was 6. I was the co-concertmaster of Ladue's 7th grade orchestra and co-concertmaster of the Ladue Middle School Honors Orchestra's first year. I've been in Webster's Community Music School YPCO and the chamber music encounter for 2 years. Recently I earned 1-exemplary in the Missouri Middle School Solo and Ensemble Festival. This summer I will start online violin tutoring to raise money for JOH.

You need to earn 20 points every year to become or stay a JoH member. Here is a list of our annual events and how many points each one is worth:
